RELIABILITY BY DESIGN
Reliability begins at the conception of the design; Teledyne-ODI’s reliability engineering processes are fully integrated into the product development process to realize the reliability goals. This is achieved through a three step process of careful reliability planning, flawless execution and verification through reliability testing.
To achieve and exceed the customer’s stringent reliability requirements, the following tools are integrated into the development process.
Failure Modes , Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA’s)
Fault Tree Analysis / Root Cause Analysis. (FTA/RCA)
Reliability Block Diagram Analysis (RBDA)
Failure Reporting , Analysis and Corrective Actions (FRACAS)
Accelerated Life Testing and Environmental Stress Screening (ALT/ESS)
Design for Reliability, with the help of the above tools, focuses on selecting the appropriate materials, redundancy in designs and elimination of single point failures. Extensive qualification and reliability testing assures that the required reliability has been achieved.

RELIABILITY BY EXCELLENCE IN FIELD PERFORMANCE
Teledyne-ODI follows a systematic approach to assuring the customers of the field reliability of its products. Reliability and Availability data are compiled and analyzed to provide the most useful and relevant data to the customer. By combining reliability engineering through design techniques with reliability assurance through appropriate metrics, reliability engineering remains at the core of the entire product life cycle. RESEARCH & TRAINING
Teledyne-ODI believes in investing in training
and research in reliability engineering. With
Certified Reliability Engineers (CRE) on staff ,
the entire design team is trained on
cutting-edge reliability tools and techniques.
